Our life draws its value not from the money we make, the prizes we win or the power we wield over others, but from the service we give every day to our community.

Reflection
  • When you serve, do it without expecting anything in return.
  • Do it as a service to the universe, not reluctantly, but with joy.
  • By doing so, you are a model to others, and add to a culture of nonviolence.
Action
  • Make a commitment to give back to the world in your own unique way.
  • Choose one thing you can do to be of service to your community today.
  • Every little thing makes a difference.
  • Write about how it felt to be of service.

Fritzi Horstman

Founder and Executive Director

 

Fritzi Horstman is the Founder and Executive Director of Compassion Prison Project. She is a Grammy-award winning producer for her work on “The Defiant Ones”, has been a producer and post-producer on dozens of television projects and documentaries and has directed several films. She believes it is urgent to bring humanity and compassion to those living behind bars and these acts will help transform our society. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Vassar College.
